Agree the project before work starts

These terms cover our monthly website plans. Before work begins, we both sign a proposal identifying your plan, launch scope, timeline, any separately priced work, and these terms. A free review or inquiry does not start a paid plan or authorize a charge. Any changes to the standard terms must be expressly agreed in that signed proposal.

Pricing and the first 12 months

• Website Essentials: $99/month. The initial 12-month total is $1,188.
• Local Growth: $199/month. The initial 12-month total is $2,388.

Prices are in USD, plus any applicable taxes disclosed before you agree. There is no upfront website build charge. The initial commitment starts when you approve the completed website and it launches. We bill monthly in advance from that date, using a recurring payment method you separately authorize.

Your monthly price is fixed during the first 12 months. Before launch, you may cancel the website plan without a website build fee. Separately approved brand projects and third-party purchases follow their own agreed payment terms.

After the first year

Your plan automatically continues month-to-month at the same price, with the same included services. There is no new annual commitment and no automatic reduction to a hosting-only price. We give at least 30 days’ written notice before a future price change; you can cancel before it takes effect. Changes to these published terms do not rewrite your signed agreement.

Cancellation and early exit

Email hello@brandyourblock.com to cancel. No call is required. After the initial commitment, a request received before your next billing date stops that next renewal. Service continues through your paid billing period. We confirm the end date by email; our confirmation does not determine when your request counts as received.

During the first year, you can give notice to stop renewal after month 12, or end service early by paying the remaining monthly fees in the initial commitment. There is no additional cancellation or transfer penalty. For example, after six paid months, the remaining balance is $594 on Essentials or $1,194 on Growth. We provide the exact balance before you choose an early exit. Early payment settles the commitment; future hosting and monthly work end on the agreed exit date.

Paid billing periods are not prorated for voluntary cancellation. Billing errors are corrected. If we discontinue service without a customer breach, we waive unpaid future commitment fees, refund any unused prepaid service, and provide the website handoff. If we materially fail to provide the agreed service and do not resolve it within 14 days of written notice, you may cancel on those same terms. In either case, your initial commitment is treated as settled for ownership and handoff purposes. This does not limit rights that cannot be excluded by law.

What you own

Your domain, supplied content, customer data, and existing brand assets remain yours throughout. Your domain should be registered in your name, and business accounts should be controlled by you with access granted to us as needed.

Once the initial 12-month commitment is paid, whether through monthly payments or an early settlement, ownership of the original website design, copy, and custom code we created specifically for your project transfers to you under the signed agreement. Until then, you have permission to use the delivered site while your account is current. Original custom work delivered in later paid service periods belongs to you once those periods are paid.

Third-party fonts, stock images, plugins, and open-source software remain subject to their licenses. Our pre-existing tools and reusable components remain ours; you receive a continuing, non-exclusive license to use and modify any included components as part of your paid website. We identify any assets requiring your own license before purchase or handoff.

Taking your website with you

After the commitment is settled, one standard handoff is included at no extra charge: your website source files, exportable content and assets, and available setup instructions. We provide it within 10 business days of your request. You may move to another provider.

Installing the site on a new provider, replacing provider-specific services, or rebuilding integrations is separate work and requires an approved quote. Hosting, form delivery, and maintenance supplied by us end on the agreed service end date, so arrange replacement services before then. We retain a transferable site copy for 30 days after service ends.

Included website work and updates

Both plans include a custom website with up to five core pages, hosting, technical care for the delivered site, foundational SEO/AEO, Google and Bing setup and submission, indexing checks, and a monthly SEO and website performance report. Your proposal lists the pages, launch content, and review milestones. You approve content before launch and provide material you have permission to use.

Both plans include up to 20 minutes of small text and photo changes per monthly billing period. This time does not roll over or convert to a cash credit. Send requests by email; we confirm timing and tell you before a request exceeds the allowance. No extra work is charged without your approval. Fixing a defect in our delivered work does not use your update allowance.

Growth also includes monthly keyword and search-query review, deeper competitor research, and one focused SEO/AEO content improvement per billing period, in addition to the 20-minute allowance. We choose the improvement with you based on priorities. New pages, redesigns, custom applications, e-commerce, integrations, photography, and larger content projects require a separate quote. Rankings, indexing, AI recommendations, and lead volumes are not guaranteed.

Branding and advertising are separately priced

Your website’s visual design and page layout are included, using your existing identity or a simple website-specific visual direction. The website plan does not include a standalone brand strategy or identity package.

Customer interviews and research, naming, positioning, standalone logo design, taglines, brand voice, a complete identity system, brand guidelines, and campaign or social creative are separately scoped and priced. We can create all of these for a new business. Each quote lists the deliverables, revision rounds, timeline, price, payment schedule, and final file formats before work starts. Ownership of original final approved branding deliverables transfers on full payment under that agreement; unused concepts remain ours.

Advertising management and ad spend are separate from both plans. Domains, business email, premium licenses, and other third-party subscriptions are also separate unless expressly included in your proposal. We disclose and obtain approval for these costs before ordering them.

Payment issues and plan changes

If a payment fails, we contact you and allow at least 14 days to resolve it before suspending service. We do not take ownership of your domain or business accounts. Suspension does not erase an agreed balance. A plan change requires written agreement on price, scope, and its effective date; it does not silently restart the 12-month term.
