Bill Me Why is a consumer product built to help homeowners understand their utility bills. The experience starts with a familiar question: why did this cost more? It organizes the information needed to investigate it.
Bills arrive in different formats, with unfamiliar charges and disconnected histories. The product needed to organize that complexity without asking the homeowner to become a spreadsheet expert.

Our approach

A name built around the question.
Naming and product positioning center on the homeowner’s need to understand a bill, with a straightforward voice that works across electricity, gas, and water.
From documents to useful history.
The product build includes bill ingestion, duplicate and missing-period checks, source evidence, and reconciled totals to support an organized utility history.
A calmer household dashboard.
Dashboard and bill-detail design make room for explanations and practical next steps, with detailed evidence available when a homeowner needs to look closer.
